About Me a Little
I have five girls. FIVE GIRLS. So, I think I’m losing my mind. I’ve been really busy lately, and unable to write much, but my mind is bursting with wanting to.
I am teaching English 101 as a Graduate student at EWU, while working on my Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Technical Communication.
I’ve had a few poems published in nondescript, dirty little lit journals, but tend to stop submitting poetry after a few are rejected. I get angry. What do they know, anyway? I think. They just don’t like it because it is understandable.
I’d love to work as an editor somewhere, as long as it made some money. My dream is to work in a publishing house. One of my dreams, anyway. I’d also love to be published in a paying market, or finish at least one book and try to sell it. Won’t be a literary wonder–I tend to get bored reading those, but love diving into a romance–it will be a romance or a fantasy or something of that sort. But to be the one to introduce new authors and their visions to the world? Ahh, that would be heavenly. Plus, I firmly believe that editors, though a dying breed, are widely necessary. I’m so sick of all the mistakes I find in my books. Just one read through would have found many of them.
The the should never appear in print.

You know, I’d love one day to be an agent. I could continue writing my own books, and help other authors get their stuff published. Plus, as an agent, you can also help edit a bit before it gets sent off to an actual editor.

Yeah I’d love to be an agent too. I keep wondering how you become one. I’d totally be your agent, Jen.
